My mother and I have been searching for about 20 years for a buttermilk pie recipe. The Lighthouse Restaurant's cook wouldn't give hers out. It's not custardy, it's more of a cream pie.
Again... it is NOT a custard recipe I'm looking for - ICK!

BUTTERMILK CREAM PIE


1 cup granulated sugar minus 2 tbsp
1/4 cup flour plus 2 tbsp
1 (5oz) can evaporated milk
1 1/3 cups buttermilk
3 egg yolks
1 tsp Watkins Vanilla, Original Double Strength
1 (9-inch) pie shell, baked



Mix sugar and flour and add
