It contained raisins, slivered almonds, cardamom pods, and a whole clove or two. I can't find a recipe online that uses them all. Can you please give me one?

Answer by David HStart off by sauting a small onion in butter or ghee, add the rice, measure the rice and then the liquid, add your spices, cardamon pods, clove, a bayleaf is nice or a piece of stick cinnimon, add the liquid, bring it to a boils, if your using Basmati rice, cook it tightly covers for 20 minutes shut off the heat add the almonds and raisins and knob of butter, let it stand for 10-15
